FAQ's

Until now, you’ve probably never heard of 4k vision. Naturally, you might have some questions. You can find the answers to all of them here.

How much are frames?

We pass on all of our cost savings to our customers, which is why we are able to offer digital optics with better than 20/20 vision at under $100 a pair.

What is 4k vision?

Most people consider 20/20 to be “perfect vision.” However, the human eye can actually see better than 20/20 vision. We like to call it “4k vision.”

What is a digital/4k eye test?

4K Vision is defined as the ultimate vision that our technology can help you to achieve. We guarantee it is better than 20/20 vision. Our patented refraction technology combined with our diamond point™ precision lens cutting gives you 4K Vision.

What are digital lenses? How are they different from regular lenses?

While there are many good lenses available, only the Encepsion Lens is capable of incorporating the extremely precise Rx from DigiVision, giving you the best possible vision. Encepsion Lenses are also one of the only lenses to deliver 100% of the doctor’s prescribed power in the finished lens, ensuring patients receive the full quality of vision that was actually prescribed. Encepsion Progressive lenses are one of the only lenses that can be fit at heights as small as 11mm, so patients choosing smaller frames still get the full benefit of the Encepsion Lens design.

What are single vision lenses?

Single vision lenses are a style of lens that corrects for one distance vision. It can provide intermediate and close vision if you are under 45 years of age (with accommodative function) for distance lenses. Or you can purchase single vision lenses as reading glasses.

What are progressive lenses?

Progressive Lenses are designed for persons requiring reading glasses. Included in its design is what is typically called “ADD” power. It helps to ease the eye strains when reading close up prints. A progressive lens allows you to see distance, intermediate objects, and reading all within one lens. The top part of the lens allows for you to view the distance and as you move your eye down the lens the prescription progresses to allow you to read things up close or near.

What are photochromic lenses?

Photochromic lenses change from clear to dark when exposed to UV light, such as sunlight. They typically act like sunglasses when worn outside. They appear clear when indoors.

What is blue light?

Blue light is 380-500nm in the visible light spectrum. Many people experience eye strains and headaches after spending prolonged hours working on computer screens and using cell phones. Your eye is not very good at blocking blue light. Blue light penetrates all the way to the retina (the back of your eye) and can cause permanent vision problems from prolonged exposure.

How can blue light blocking lenses help?

Blue light blocking lenses can reduce eye strain by cutting out the blue light. Our blue light lenses have a high cut out rate of over 80% of the blue light. Our blue light blocking lenses are made from a special material that is designed to reduce the glare and filter out the harmful blue light rays.

Is it still safe for me to attend my eye test?

Yes, however, we ask that you notify our staff and reschedule your appointment if:

  • You have traveled to a high-risk country or any other COVID-19 affected area in the last 14 days
  • You had close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19
  • You have a fever, lower respiratory symptoms, or symptoms of the flu. If this is the case, we recommend you contact your primary physician.

In the case of the above, we may respectfully ask that you postpone your exam for the safety of our staff and other patients and customers. Please call our office for more information.

I was notified that my glasses and/or contact lenses are ready. How can I pick them up?

Please follow up directly with the store where you purchased your glasses and/or contact lenses to arrange pick-up or delivery.

Can I use vision insurance when ordering online?

Yes. We accept most vision insurance plans including FSA and HSA.

How are the glasses in your store sanitized?

Anti-bacterial wipes are used to clean each pair of eyeglasses and sunglasses a customer tries on before returning them to the shelf.

Can you put lenses in a pair of frames I bought at another store?

It may be possible to reuse your frames. However, this is dependent upon their condition, your particular prescription, and the lenses you choose. Even when frames are in perfect condition, removing old lenses and replacing them with new ones is stressful on them.

Most frames that have been worn for a long period of time experience normal wear and tear. Small cracks and weak points that cannot be seen with the naked eye occasionally develop.

Our store associates have received extensive training on examining eyeglass frames and determining the potential risk of breakage from the manufacturing process. Please visit your nearest DigiVision Optical for a definitive answer. You can use the Find a Store locator to find a store near you.
